Teaching Scripts for Science and Math

PREFACE

Scripts are written according to learning objectives and outcomes. They are meant to assist teachers to deliver math and science lessons in English and provide ideas or activities to make teaching and learning more interesting. The scripts are meant to guide and should not curb the creativity of teachers. An example script need not necessarily fit the duration of a normal  teaching period. Teachers need to make relevant adjustments based on the capabilities of their students and level of difficulty of a topic.

Other Science sites for Educators:

The Exploratorium offers many ideas and resources for teachers and student. Take time to browse the various categories. In particular , the "Science Snacks" link yields a number of LAB IDEAS.   http://www.exploratorium.edu/snacks/index.html   or   http://www.exploratorium.edu/educate/index.html

The Franklin Institute Science Museum in Philadelphia offers science resources designed through an online educator program. Check out "Something Froggy" for a diagram of a frog life cycle:

"The Great Plant Escape," from the University of Illinois Extension, guides students through mock mysteries to unlock the "secrets" of plant life:

The School district of the city of Erie, Pensylvania provides a lesson plan on Animal Life Cycles that includes images,  activities, and pre/post testing PLUS other curricular help:
