HELP Read™: the Freeware Reader Project.
HELP Read™ is FREE software that reads along with you while you do the reading. Whether you’re younger or older, new to reading or have your own library, HELP Read™ should be able to help you read more and understand more of what you read.
Access to the Reading Companion software
Grant sites receive access to the speech-recognition literacy software via the www.readingcompanion.org web site that has an interface for students (ages 5-7) and adults. The administrators at the grant sites coordinate which teachers will be using the software at their school or not for profit organisation, and teachers then set up their virtual classrooms, assign students their ID’s and passwords, and select e-books for their classes from a virtual library.
Go to www.readingcompanion.org (this is the web-based program)
